Ear candling is an alternative medicine practice to thoroughly clean the ears and remove ear wax. Special cone shaped candles made of cotton or linen are placed into the ear canal to collect wax. The candle is lit at the opposite end (away from the face) and a special plate around the candle protects the face from dripping wax.
Through a process called "convection", wax will be drawn out of the ear, oxidized and turned into vapors during the procedure.
This simple and time-proven therapy can be very effective in removing old and troublesome blockages from the ear canal, without the use of solutions or probes
